Setting off from Thiès at dawn in blazers and scarves, students from all four disciplines spent the day between Blaise Diagne International Airport and the aisles of the trade fair. This was no end-of-year outing: each group left with an observation sheet to fill in and a report to hand back.
At the stand of the Délégation générale à l'Entreprenariat Rapide, management and marketing students questioned advisers directly about the funding schemes open to a young graduate. IT students tried the virtual reality demonstrations run by the incubators present.
"We ask them to step out of the lecture and go see what the real labour market looks like," the teaching team explains. "A student who has watched a company operate does not write their dissertation the same way afterwards."
